Tempering process
Tempering is another heat treatment process after the quenching process, which is to heat the hardened part below the critical temperature and then cool it in air or oil. After the tempering process, the parts can be made to have stable organization and size; Eliminate or reduce the internal stress after quenching to achieve the required hardness, and improve the toughness of the quenched parts. Alloy steel, high carbon and low carbon steel parts are generally tempered.
Thermal refining
Thermal is also a heat treatment process after quenching, that is, Thermal at high temperature after quenching. Some special purpose motor shafts are to be tempered. The purpose is to make the parts have better mechanical properties; Can lay the foundation for the next heat treatment; Prevent cracking or deformation during subsequent heat treatment; At the same time, it can improve the processing property of materials; Improve the fatigue strength and wear resistance of parts.
Aging process
There are two kinds of aging: heating aging and normal temperature aging. Heating aging is to heat the workpiece to a certain temperature (generally controlled between 120 and 160 degrees), and keep it warm for 6 to 36 hours; Normal temperature aging is natural aging at room temperature, the aging time is relatively long, requiring no less than 6 months, generally in accordance with 6 to 18 months to control.
In motor products, the aging treatment of castings is very critical, and many motor manufacturers will pre-purchase some common parts in order to better aging treatment. After aging treatment, the deformation of the parts after processing will be reduced, and the internal stress of the processing can also be effectively eliminated, which has a better promoting effect on ensuring the mechanical properties of the whole machine products.
