On July 21st, Wolong Group and Japan's Daikin Group held a high-level meeting for the ODM motor project commissioning production and a cooperation agreement signing ceremony at Daikin. Chairman of Wolong Electric Drive Group Pang Xinyuan, CEO of Wolong Electric Drive's Asia-Pacific Sales Headquarters Yang Jianxiang, Executive Director of Daikin Japan, Deputy Director of the Air Conditioning Production Department Fuyu Gongyi, and Executive Director of Daikin Japan and General Manager of Daikin China Quan Maoxin, both from the two sides, attended the ceremony together.
At the meeting, both parties reached a consensus on the outdoor ODM motor commissioning production project for Daikin globally. This marks a crucial step for the two enterprises in their collaboration within the global industrial chain. According to the agreement, Wolong will undertake the outdoor ODM motor commissioning production business for Daikin targeting the Japanese market. It plans to achieve mass production in April 2026, with an initial annual production target of 1.1 million units and a target of 5 million units by 2028. The products will be transferred under the Daikin brand through Suzhou Daikin Co., Ltd. (DMS), delivered to the Daikin Group in Japan, and the design and quality responsibilities will be borne by Daikin. The shipment inspection will strictly follow the DMS standards.
Wolong and Da Jin have been engaged in long-term cooperation for over a decade, expanding from providing motor supplies to undertaking ODM motor production. They have witnessed the continuous deepening of mutual trust between the two parties. "For the motor field, hand it over to Wolong; for the air conditioning field, hand it over to Da Jin." Wolong will ensure project quality and production capacity with 100% commitment. Together with Da Jin, they will explore a broader global market and achieve true industrial win-win.
This cooperation has achieved a two-way optimization in terms of cost control and production capacity scale. This not only will further deepen the strategic partnership between Daikin and Wolong, but also creates a broad space for jointly exploring the vast market in the future.
