This project is an important practice of Wolong in responding to the national "carbon neutrality" strategy. Based on the abundant wind energy resources in Daoma Banner, the project plans to build a grid-connected new energy power generation system and corresponding energy storage facilities. The aim is to enhance the stability and flexibility of energy supply in the region and promote the efficient utilization of clean energy. After completion, the project will become a benchmark project for the development of the new energy industry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, providing a solution for building an "source-grid-load-storage" integrated new power system, and helping to achieve the green transformation of the regional energy structure.
The project adopts the "wind power + energy storage" integrated technology. It is planned to be fully connected to the grid by the end of 2025, with an annual power generation of approximately 1.8 billion kilowatt-hours. This can meet the clean electricity needs of about 650,000 households and reduce 1 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. Wolong will continue to deepen its layout in the new energy industry, focusing on the wind, solar, hydrogen and storage sectors. It will seize the progress with scientific management and create a national new energy demonstration benchmark, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
Zhao Chenxu stated that this project is a benchmark project for implementing the "carbon neutrality" strategy and facilitating the transformation of the energy structure in the autonomous region. It is also an important practice for Mengdian Research Institute and Wolong Group to deepen the cooperation between industry, academia and research, and promote the transformation of technological achievements. Through the deep coupling of new energy power generation and energy storage systems, it will effectively solve the problem of grid stability and provide key technical support for the "source-grid-load-storage" integrated development in the autonomous region. Mengdian Research Institute will base itself on the resource endowment of Inner Mongolia, aim at building a new type of power system, explore a new model of "new energy + energy storage", and work together with all parties to build this project into a new brand for the development of new energy in the autonomous region.
Su Ruifeng stated that this project is a crucial step in the development of the new energy industry in Daoma Banner. It is of great significance for optimizing the energy structure, accelerating the low-carbon transformation, and promoting the green development of the economy and society. Daoma Banner will provide high-quality services, create a favorable environment, strengthen resource guarantee, and work together with Wolong Group to ensure the project is completed as soon as possible, driving the high-quality development of the regional economy with a "powerful engine".
Wolong Group will take the project's commencement as an opportunity, closely aligning with the "dual carbon" strategic deployment. It will deepen the collaboration between the government and enterprises, fully leveraging the advantages of the network construction technology and the integrated layout of wind, solar, hydrogen and storage. Together with its partners, it will promote the project construction with "high standards, high quality and high efficiency", ensuring its early commissioning and effectiveness, and contributing Wulong's strength to the realization of the "dual carbon" goals and the green rise of the regional economy.
